PURPOSE:
To inspire businesses to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for the LGBTQ+ community and other diverse allies. Our mission is to promote and provide a resource for businesses to become more inclusive and adopt policies that create a welcoming environment for everyone. We believe this will result in increased opportunities for Business Owners and attract and retain a diverse workforce that reflects the community.
PROCESS:
To be part of our program, we ask that your business commit to 3 simple affirmations;
1) Will you agree to implement policies for employees and customers that respect gender and sexual identity?
2) Will you support policies to promote equality for the LGBTQ+ Community and beyond and provide an affirmative and inclusive environment for patrons and employees?
3) Will you provide a contact for your organization to act as a steward of the implementation and ongoing fidelity of these principles?
PROMOTION:
As part of the Hollywood LGBTQ+ Council, we will provide your business with the following;
1) Signage to help promote to the LGBTQ+ Community and their allies that you have committed to this program including free window decals and printed signage available upon request.
2) We will provide regular education to implement these polices and provide timely communication on issues that impact the LGBTQ+ Community. We also will assist with strategies to expand your business and engage your organization with LGBTQ+ consumers and prospective clientele.
3) Provide a “Circle of Pride” Business Directory on our website and also link to other organizations that can promote your business to LGBTQ+ patrons and allies.
